I am a mathematician and postdoc at ICMC-USP in São Carlos, Brazil. My area of research is dynamical systems theory, with specific interests in connections to classical mechanics, differential geometry and mathematical physics in a broader sense. More specifically, I have worked and/or am working on:
- noncompact normally hyperbolic invariant manifolds
- submanifolds in bounded geometry
- geometric mechanics
- synchronisation in network dynamics
- nonholonomic dynamics and friction
For more details, see my research page.
I obtained my PhD in 2012 at Utrecht University, The Netherlands. After that, I was a postdoc at Imperial College London in the dynamical systems group and in the geometric mechanics group of Prof. Darryl Holm until April 2015. Between June–December 2015, I was a visiting researcher at PUC-Rio, Brazil.
